Goalies
Anton Forsberg, LA vs. EDM (11% rostered) – FanDuel $8,000
Commissioner Gary Bettman and league management should be skipping to the loo, as 12 of the 15 contests Saturday will directly impact playoff positioning and/or seeding. I am going out on a small limb with this pick, as Darcy Kuemper may get the nod between the pipes. But with Kuemper struggling. Forsberg on a three-game win streak, allowing just four goals on 80 shots and the Kings holding a very slim need on the second Wild Card spot (one point over the Predators, three in front of the Jets and four north of the Sharks) and possibly needing to win out, Forsberg should be the choice in net.
Jet Greaves, CLM @ MTL (69% rostered) – FanDuel $7,300
Greaves is doing all he can to keep Columbus in the playoff hunt; his teammates, though, may not be pulling their weight. In the last month, Greaves has a 2.35 goals-against-average (GAA) and .913 save percentage. His record, however, is just 5-5-1 in 11 appearances. Columbus is 39-28-12 (90 points), two points behind Philly for third place in the Metro and four points shy of Ottawa for the second Wild Card spot with three games remaining. The Senators hold the tiebreakers (regulation and regulation+overtime wins) over the Blue Jackets, who return that favor to the Flyers. Go with the desperate team, but keep in mind Montreal still has an outside shot to win the division.
Carter Hart, LV @ COL (19% rostered) – FanDuel $7,400
Edmonton, Vegas and Anaheim are separated by one point in the Pacific Division standings. None have clinched a spot but barring a complete collapse. all three should make the position. Los Angeles is in the second Wild Card spot, two points behind Anaheim with a game in hand on all three squads. Locking up a spot and then positioning is paramount. Hart's return to action, along with replacement of Bruce Cassidy by John Tortorella, has been a godsend. After missing 33 games with a lower-body injury, Hart has has won all three of his starts, stopping 60 of 65 shots. Roll the dice (yes, a pun) with Hart.
