Goalies
Juuse Saros, NSH @ LV (87% rostered) - DraftKings $xx
Saros is ending the calendar year strong, winning four of his last six contests, allowing 16 goals on 163 shots in that span. For the season, Saros is up to 15-12-3 with a 2.93 goals-against average (GAA) and an .898 save percentage over 30 appearances. After notching just 20 wins in 58 contests last season, Saros - after a slow start - has a show at 30 wins for the fourth time in five campaigns.
Jesper Wallstedt, MIN @ SJ (81% rostered) - DraftKings $xx
The Most Improved Player in the NHL might be Wallstedt, if he isn't first, he is right near the top. He also should be at or near the top for the Calder Trophy. Wallstedt, who did not impress in limited action the prior two campaigns, is 11-2-2 with a 2.16 GAA and a .931 save percentage through 15 appearances this season. He is in a timeshare with Filip Gustavsson and a near must-start when between the pipes.
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, BUF @ DAL (19% rostered) - DraftKings $xx
A month or so ago, taking Buffalo and their netminder over Jake Oettinger and Dallas would be considered cause to revoke my fantasy expert title. Now, the Sabres are the hottest team in the NHL, going for their 10th straight win. UPL has allowed three goals or fewer in 10 of 11 outings since the beginning of November, posting a 2.46 GAA and .903 save percentage over that stretch. He is splitting time in net with Alex Lyon, who started Monday and could be between the pipes again Wednesday, but I am projecting that UPL gets the nod.
