John Gibson, DET vs. CGY (79% rostered) - FanDuel $7,700
Gibson's inclusion here is made with my hands covering my eyes and my fingers slightly opened to peak at the scoreboard during the game. Detroit is without both Dylan Larkin and Andrew Copp, robbing the Red Wings of their top two centers The result has been struggles offensively contributing to a 3-5-2 record in their last 10 games with the team holding onto the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference by their fingernails. Gibson has allowed 12 goals over his last five outings, but he's gone 1-3-1 in that span due to those issues offensively. Calgary has had their own problems, which is why Gibson gets a tacit nod here.
Igor Shesterkin, NYR vs. LA (98% rostered) - FanDuel $7,800
A little bit too little and little bit too late. New York has won four games in a row and are 6-1-2 since the Olympics break ended. Shesterkin's play in that stretch is a major reason for the team's fine record as Igor has gone 5-0-2 during that stretch with a 2.67 goals-against average (GAA) and .916 save percentage. Take out one bad contests versus Columbus and the numbers would be even better. The Rangers are playing out the string, but their current hot streak and play of Shesterkin makes him a solid play at home for the return of Artemi Panarin to MSG.
