The Islanders and Penguins are battling to make the playoffs and positioning in the Metro Division, as the teams are separated by one point. Sorokin, after a mini-slump, has won three of his last four starts. In his last nine games, Sorokin is 5-4-0 with a 2.36 goals-against average (GAA) and .910 save percentage over that span. Sorokin's fine play has thrust him firmly into the Vezina Trophy race, as he is now 28-18-2 with a 2.47 GAA and .914 save percentage.
Joel Hofer, STL @ SJ (43% rostered) - FanDuel $7,400
For St. Louis, it's likely too little, too late, but they are doing their best to get back into the playoff race. Both netminders have excelled, which includes Hofer, who has found his found after a slow first half-plus of the season. Hofer is unbeaten since the Olympic break, posted a 7-0-2 record, a 1.29 GAA and a .955 save percentage across his last nine outings. That stretch has upped his season marks to 19-11-5, with a 2.52 GAA and a .912 save percentage through 39 appearances as Hofer has seen a major rise in playing time recently.
