Twenty teams are playing the tail end of a back-to-back Saturday, meaning that a large number of backup netminders will be between the pipes.. This makes selecting a goalie to highlight somewhat difficult, a snot many standout. Right now, it's unclear if Eric Comrie or Milic goes Friday against Carolina, If Comrie starts vs. the Canes, Milic will make his first career NHL start, Milic, called up when Connor Hellebuyck was first sidelined, was terrific at AHL Manitoba this season, posting a 5-2-2 record with a 2.14 goals-against average (GAA) and a .921 save percentage across nine starts.
Jesper Wallstedt, MIN vs. BUF (60% rostered) - FanDuel $XX
Wallstedt could get the mod Friday against Colorado, leaving Filip Gustavsson to face Buffalo. If that proves to be the case, the Gus Bus will get a tacit recommendation here. Wallstedt has won five games in a row, three of the past four via shutout. That stretch has lowered his GAA to 1.94 and raised his save percentage to .935 over eight appearances. He and Gustavsson are alternating starts.
Anton Forsberg, LA @ VAN (4% rostered) - FanDuel $XX
This selection is more team than player related. Los Angeles is playing at a higher level than Vancouver, giving the Kings the edge in this one. In addition, Nikita Tolopino was fine in his season debut, allowing four goals in 41 shots to defeat the Ducks on Wedneday, but Forsberg profiles as a better goalie than Tolopino, though that has not always been the case this month. Forsberg has gone 1-1-1 with eight goals allowed on 65 shots over his three outings in November, but has been vastly better his last two appearances.
