    Goalies

Arturs Silovs, PIT @ NYR, (22% rostered) – FanDuel $7,200
It's rare you get a revenge game the third game of the season, but that's what we have here. Pittsburgh defeated New York 3-0 behind Silovs on Opening Day. Both teams notched wins Thursday with Igor Shesterkin posting his own shutout while Tristan Jarry defeated the Islanders. Listing Silovs is a projection based on his victory Tuesday, though he will face a Blueshirts team out for early revenge and a division win, so tread carefully.

Dustin Wolf, CGY vs. STL, (97% rostered) – FanDuel $7,200
Wolf allowed three goals Tuesday before the Flames rallied for a 4-3 overtime win Wednesday. He followed up that contest by allowing five goals on 26 shots Thursday against the Canucks. Wolf surrendered just one tally the first two periods but was beaten four times on just 10 shots in the final frame. His upside potential was seen last season, as Wolf went 29-16-8 with a 2.64 goals-against and a .910 save percentage over 53 games in his rookie campaign. Look for a big time performance in Calgary's home opener Saturday.

Frederik Andersen, CAR vs. PHI, (62% rostered) - FanDuel $8,100
Andersen, who notched the win Thursday, should be in line for a significant uptick in playing time. Pyotr Kochetkov is dealing with an undisclosed injury while Brandon Bussi is serving as the No. 2 netminder for now resulting in Andersen seeing more action between the pipes. Injuries have limited Andersen's games played four of the last five seasons. When healthy, he has posted stellar numbers.

    Karel Vejmelka, UTAH @ NAS, (67% rostered) - FanDuel - $7,800
Vejmelka posted a 26-22-8 record with a 2.58 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage in a career-high 58 games last season. That performance earned the netminder a five-year, $23.75 million contract extension with Utah this past March. Connor Ingram was placed on waivers and traded to Edmonton, leaving Vejmelka and Vitek Vanecek as the two netminders for the Mammoth with Vejmelka the clear starter.

    Elvis Merzlikins, CLM @ MIN, (9% rostered) - FanDuel - $7,200
Jet Greaves started Thursday, stopping 29 of 31 shots in a 2-1 loss to the Predators. Greaves getting the nod over Merzlikins may be telling, though Merzlikins will be between the pipes in a very tough matchup against the Wild. Merzlikins needs a strong performance against Minnesota to hold off Greaves for the #1 goalie spot in Columbus.

Yaroslav Askarov, SJ vs. ANA, (30% rostered) - FanDuel - $7,400
Askarov somewhat surprisingly ceded the ned Opening Night to Alex Nedeljkovic. He will be between the pipes Saturday when the Ducks fly in. Askarov was 4-6-2 with a 3.10 GAA and an .896 save percentage across 13 appearances with the Sharks in 2024-25. He was superb in the AHL last year, posting an 11-9-1 mark with a 2.45 GAA and a .923 save percentage in 22 games. Askarov should end up as Team Teal's top netminder.
