Gustavsson rebounded from three straight poor starts and losses to stop 23 of 24 shots in a win against the Rangers on Monday. He surrendered a goal less than a minute into the contest but shut the door the remainder of the way. Gustavsson had a brilliant first season in 2022-23 with the Wild, scuffled the next season and found his way last season, posting 31 wins. That strong 2024-25 campaign earned Gustavsson a five-year, $34 million contract extension with the Wild in October.
John Gibson, DET @ BUF (34% rostered) - FanDuel $7,200
Gibson and Cam Talbot may be settling into a quasi-timeshare in Detroit. Following a rough first start where he allowed five goals in 37:12 and sat for three straight contests, Gibson has been brilliant in notching consecutive wins in consecutive games. Gibson, signed to be the Red Wings' top netminder, allowed just three goals on 50 shots in the two victories.
Alex Lyon, BUF vs. DET (28% rostered) - FanDuel $7,400
Lyon has started all six games this season for the Sabres. Despite going 2-4-0, Lyon has played fairly well, posting a 2.54 goals-against average and .924 save percentage. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, who has been sidelined all season, was sent to AHL Rochester on a conditioning assignment Tuesday, which should enable him to be activated shortly. In the meanwhile, Lyon will continue to be in net for Buffalo.
