Frederik Andersen, CAR vs. NYI (67% rostered) - FanDuel - $7,800
When healthy, Andersen can be a top-flight goalie. He is fine physically but has struggled this season, especially when compared to prior campaigns. The veteran netminder has given up fewer than three goals only once in his first six starts, leaving him with a 3.11 GAA and an .892 save percentage despite a 4-2-0 record. Pyotr Kochetkov, who has been sidelined with a lower body injury, returned to practice Monday, so Andersen will need a good start to retain his starting job.
Thatcher Demko, VAN @ STL (90% rostered) - FanDuel - $7,400
Demko has kept Vancouver in the playoff hunt early this season with his play in net. He has looked like the 2023-24 version of the goalie who won 35 games with a 2.45 GAA and .918 save percentage. Demko, limited to just 23 games due to injury, is at 4-3-0 with a 2.18 GAA and a .926 save percentage in seven contests. His early play has garnered some long-shot Olympic consideration.
Tristan Jarry, PIT @ MIN (35% rostered) - FanDuel - $7,400
Jarry continues to surprise, which is why the Penguins have as well, early this season. Expected to be in the Gavin McKenna sweepstakes. Pittsburgh is battling New Jersey for first in the Metro Division. Arturs Silovs and Jarry have led the way between the pipes. Jarry has gone 4-1-0 with a 2.62 goals-against average (GAA) and .917 save percentage -- a big improvement on the 2.96 GAA and .903 save percentage he posted last season.
Spencer Knight, CHI @ WPG (61% rostered) - FanDuel - $7,400
Chicago has their #1 center in Connor Bedard and #1 goalie in Spencer Knight. The latter has settled into the Windy City after coming over last season from the Panthers. He struggled after arriving but has flipped the script this season. Knight has posted an excellent .936 save percentage and a 1.97 GAA while winning his last three starts to sit 4-2-1 on the season.
Cam Talbot, DET @ LA (19% rostered) - FanDuel - $7,400
Thursday is a match up of two teams that enter the game on a roll. Detroit is 7-3-0 this season, winning their last two. Los Angeles is 5-3-3, but that doesn't tell the full story, as they are 4-0-1 in their past five games with 16 goals scored. Talbot has his work cut out for him. After a strong start to the season, Talbot has ceded starts to John Gibson and allowed seven goals in his last outing. This is a gut call on the Red Wings on the road versus the Kings.
