NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Player Pickups April 1 - Power-ed Up Sabres

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.

Owen Power, BUF at OTT (29% rostered)

The Sabres have had the Sens’ number all season – they’re 3-0-0 against them – and Power is currently riding a three-game assists streak. Despite the Sabres’ dominance, Power has yet to score a point or register a shot (!) against the Sens. Despite playing on the third pair, Power still gets PP2 minutes and with a hot streak might get lucky.

Olen Zellweger, ANA vs. SJ (5% rostered)

Zellweger has four points in his past four games and this is a good matchup against the league’s worst team. Increased shot volume has been key for Zellweger’s recent uptick in offensive production, registering at least three shots in four of his past five games.

Connor Clifton, BUF at OTT (4% rostered)

If you’re looking for some hits and blocks, Clifton’s fantasy stock has really been soaring. The recent bonus has been his scoring with four assists in his past five games, which basically accounts for one-quarter of his season total. Over his past five games, Clifton is averaging more than 20 minutes playing on the second pair with Bowen Byram and collected 16 hits and 11 blocks.
