Ross Colton could be ready to create an Avalanche offensively. for Colorado
On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies can be used in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.
Forwards
Vasily Podkolzin, LW/RW, EDM vs, FLA (1% rostered)
Podkolzin has been extremely streaky this season. He tallied five of his 11 points in a five-game stretch November 19-30 and has posted three assists in Edmonton's last two contests. For those who don't like math, that means he has three points in the other 23 games he has played. Our suggestion is take advantage of the light schedule and his current mild - as it's not really hot - streak to utilize him Monday.
Ross Colton, C/LW, COL @ VAN (41% rostered)
Colton posted a career-high 40 points in his first season in Colorado in 2023-24 after coming from Tampa. He was making that total look like a walk in the park to start this season, The 28-year-old winger had gotten off to an excellent start before landing on IR, posting eight goals and nine points in his first 10 games. Colton missed 17 games with a foot injury, and after going scoreless his first game back, he has lit the lamp twice in his last four contests.
Defensemen
Esa Lindell, DAL vs. WAS (8% rostered)
Lindell is the third blueline option for Big D but that doesn't mean he has no value. He won't post a ton of points, contributing across the board in a variety of categories. Lindell is at 11 points, 46 shots on net, 26 hits, 57 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating while skating 21:46 per contest over 29 outings this season. On a three-game night, Lindell is a worthwhile flier to take.
