On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies can be used in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games
Barrett Hayton, UTAH @ WSH (13% rostered)
Hayton's production has been uneven game-by-game, but overall, he has increased his output recently. He had two assists Tuesday and notched four goals and five helpers in his prior nine contests. Hayton, after a slow start, is up to 12 markers and 17 apples in 54 games, skating on the top line with Logan Cooley (lower body) sidelined. Given the light schedule, Haytom is certainly worth a flier Sunday.
Aliaksei Protas, C/LW, WSH vs. UTAH (44% rostered)
Ho-Hum, Protas hitting the scoresheet again. He has points in two straight and eight of his last nine, posting four goals and six assists in that stretch. On the season, Protas is up to 22 markers and 24 apples in 54 contests, along with a stellar plus-29 rating. Protas is having a magical season, made more amazing by his overall lack of power play time. However, lately, that has changed, boding well for continued success.
Alex Newhook, C, MTL vs. TB (1% rostered)
Newhook saw his three-game point streak end Saturday as the Canadiens were shut out 4-0 by the Devils. After notching at least 30 points each of the last three seasons. Newhook has just 17 points in 55 games this seasons. Selected 16 overall in 2019 by Colorado. Newhook has yet to truly live up to his draft status, but currently is skating as the second line left wing, which could up his scoring opportunities.
Michael Kesselring, UTAH @ WSH (15% rostered)
Kesselring has six points in his last 13 games and 21 in 54 contests on the season. He has matched his 2023-24 output in 11 fewer games, aided by three additional minutes of ice time per game. Kesselring has settled in on the second defensive pair and point on second power play unit, where he has posted three of his 21 points. He is on pace for a new high in blocked shots as well, adding to his fantasy value.
