On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.
FORWARDS:
Barrett Hayton, C, UTAH @ TOR (11% rostered)
Hayton's production has come in spurts a good portion of the season. He is on another upswing right now, having notched a goal and three assists in his last four games. Hayton is up to 16 goals and 20 assists, with nine of his points coming on the power play), through 63 appearances. He has settled in nicely as Utah's second-line center behind Logan Cooley.
David Perron, LW/RW, OTT vs. DET (2% rostered)
Perron has started to provide solid secondary scoring to the Senators. He has just three goals and four assists in 24 games, having missed a good chunk of the season with an injury. But he has a pair of goals and an assist in his last four contests while picking up the physical component of his games, dishing out nine hits. Perron is skating on Ottawa's newly constructed second line alongside Dylan Cozens and Drake Batherson.
Ross Colton, C/LW, COL vs. CHI (8% rostered)
Colton endured a 14-game streak where he failed to dent the scoresheet. Since then, Colton has tallied a pair of goals and four assists his last five contests. Following the various trades by the Avalanche, Colton is skating on the third line with Charlie Coyle and Joel Kiviranta, a trio that be responsible defensively while also producing offensively, which should afford that unit solid ice time.
DEFENSEMEN:
Artyom Levshunov, CHI @ COL (0% rostered)
This one is a pure shot in the dark. With only four games on the docket, why not take a chance. Levshunov was recalled Sunday from Rockford of the AHL where he had five goals, 22 points and 59 PIM in 50 minor-league appearances this season. Selected second overall in last year's draft, Levshunov projects to be a top defenseman down the road. It's unclear as of press time if he will dress, but with Chicago playing for the future, the team may opt to start getting their top d-man prospect NHL experience.
