NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Skater Pickups March 12 - Anaheim's Colangelo Aims to Remain Hot for the Ducks

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.

    SKATERS:

Jason Zucker, BUF vs. DET (20% rostered)
Zucker returned to action Monday after missing six games with a lwoer-body injury, Prior to being sidelined, Zucker had two goals and six assists in his previous six games, but was held scoreless in his return. The 33-year-old is up to 18 goals and 26 assists, including 16 points on the power play, over 55 appearances this season while skating on Buffalo's second line.

Joel Farabee, CGY vs. VAN (5% rostered)
Farabee looks to be finally be setting in our west. After scoring just one goal his first 11 games in Calgary, and none in eight contests, Farabee has lit the lamp in back-to-back games. Farabee is skating on the Flames' second line, benefitting from Mikael Backlund as his center. If the team is going to remain in playoff contention, Farabee will need to be a consistent scoring option.

Sam Colangelo, ANA @ UTAH (4% rostered)
All of a sudden, Colangelo has become Ovechkin West. Okay, maybe not at that level, but he certainly has found his scoring touch. Colangelo tallied a pair of markers Sunday and is up to five goals and an assist during his current four-game point streak. Taken 36 overall in the second round in 2020, Colangelo has spent a good portion of the season in the AHL, but he certainly should be in the NHL to stay the rest of the way.

    DEFENSE

Adam Larsson, SEA vs. MTL (10% rostered)
Larsson, not known for his scoring, has picked up his game offensively recently. He is riding a four-game point streak, first scoring in back-to-back games, the adding assists in consecutive games. Larsson has seven points over his last nine contests, upping his season mark to five markers and 14 helpers. In addition, he has blocked 122 shots, dished out 79 hits, skated 21+ minutes a contest and posted a plus-12 rating, showing a well-rounded game.
