As the calendar flips to December 1, Pius Suter's hot play makes him worth a look

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies can be used in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games

    Forwards

Pius Suter, C/LW, VAN @ DET (2% rostered)

Suter is known as a defensively responsible middle-six forward who can chip in a little bit offensively. He has been better than the latter recently, as he extended his point streak (two goals, two assists) to three games Friday. The Swiss forward was productive in November with six goals and four assists over 13 games after notching just three points across eight contests in October. Furthermore, Suter is tied for the team lead in goals with Conor Garland, notching eight goals and five assists through 21 appearances.

Elias Lindholm, C, BOS vs. MTL (46% rostered)

Lindholm is close the 50% threshold where he no longer will be included in this column. Signed to a seven-year, $54.25 million contract by the Bruins in July. Lindholm certainly has not set the world afire with his start in the Hub. He has notched just three goals to go along with 10 assists his first 25 contests, but he did have three helpers Wednesday, so maybe that's a sign he is about to break out.

Kent Johnson, C/LW, CLM @ CHI (15% rostered)

Johnson has played just eight games this season, missing 14 contests with a shoulder injury. He has made the most of his time on ice, notching at least a point (five goals, six assists) in each of the contests he has played. Johnson has six points (three goals, three assists) in his past four games after returning from the injury. He is skating on the second line at even-strength and on the first power play unit. Roll with him while he is smoking hot.

Ryan Donato, C/LW/RW, CHI vs. CLM (8% rostered)

Who has Donato with 10 goals through the first 21 contests of the season? He has benefitted from an 18.9 percent shooting percentage, but even if he regresses slightly, Donato should easily exceed his prior career-high of 16 markers set in 2021-22 as a member of the Kraken. Donato, who also has dished out 38 hits, is centering Chicago's second line.

Cole Perfetti, C/LW. WPG @ DAL (27% rostered)

Perfetti had gone 11 games without lighting the lamp before notching a pair of tallies Friday. After potting 19 markers last season, Perfetti, despite his recent slump, is on pace to match that mark and set a new career-high in points. Perfetti should continue to benefit from skating on Winnipeg's second line, affording scoring opportunities.

Trevor Zegras, C, ANA VS. OTT (10% rostered)

Yes, I do have a wee bit of a man crush on Zegras. The talent is sublime, but his production cratered last season and his start to this campaign left a lot to be desired. Zegras has recently started to put it together, notching a four-game point streak in late-November. In addition, in a six-game span, he posted seven of the 10 points he has on the season, given credence to the notion he is figured it out again.

    Defensemen

Damon Severson, CLM @ CHI (4% rostered)

Zach Werenski is the one to roster on the Blue Jackets blueline but Severson is having a productive season. He is up to four goals and six assists in 22 games, skating close to 22 minutes a contest while blocking 41 shots. As long as Severson stays healthy, a 30+ point campaign is certainly a strong possibility.

Olen Zellweger, ANA vs. OTT (20% rostered)

Zellweger was relatively hot the latter part of November, notching two goals and four assists the final seven games of the month. He continues to see copious minutes on the power play - 3:03 per contest - while skating over 19 minutes overall. Anaheim has a raft of young blueliners and it's quite possible that Zellweger ends up the best of the bunch.
