Sleepers and Keepers Podcast: Brent Burns and Alex Ovechkin Are... Droppable?

Rickard Rakell, RW, PIT vs. NYI (33% rostered)
Valtteri Puustinen, RW, PIT vs. NYI (1% rostered)

The Isles will be out for revenge after the Pens defeated them 7-0 last time. Rakell pitched in with a goal and an assist, continuing his hot play since returning from injury. Rakell is also a good season-long hold as he bounces back from a tough first half.

Puustinen is a sleeper option in deep leagues. He plays bottom-six minutes but he's been very productive with six points in eight games, though all of them came in three multi-point efforts. He notched a goal and an assist against the Isles as well, and Pens-Isles matchups tend to be quite high-event affairs.

Ryan HartmanRyan Hartman

Ryan Hartman, C/RW, MIN vs. WPG (17% rostered)

Hartman has scored a goal in four straight games playing in the top six with Mats Zuccarello injured, and he stands to play even more minutes with Kirill Kaprizov's status questionable after he was hurt in their last game. Hartman played 18:24 in a 4-2 loss to the Jets on Saturday, and will likely see significant usage again.

Ryan Johansen, C, COL vs. SJ (8% rostered)
Jonathan Drouin, LW, COL vs. SJ (6% rostered)

Johansen's production can be really sparse, and with only three assists in 36 games this season, it's really not quite what the Avs had envisioned when they traded for him. His ice time is limited because he hasn't earned much more than that, but this is a good matchup and Johansen's coming off a two-point game against the Blues.

Drouin is the less risky option but his upside also isn't that high. What works in Drouin's favor is his chemistry with Nathan MacKinnon and getting more ice time than Johansen.

Samuel Girard, D, COL vs. SJ (2% rostered)

The Avs blueline is deep so it's hard to find value beyond Cale Makar, Devon Toews and Bowen Byram, but note Girard will return to the lineup after completing the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance program. He can provide some blocks and hits, and possibly a point or two against a weak opponent.
