The Sleepers and Keepers fantasy hockey podcast hosts Jason Chen and Michael Amato both lament the loss of Maple Leafs netminder Joseph Woll, who had supplanted Ilya Samsonov for the starting job recently.
Woll suffered a high ankle sprain against the Senators on Thursday and his absence is measured in weeks. In the meantime, the Leafs' net will be patrolled by Samsonov and veteran third-string Martin Jones, who came in relief for Woll and earned his first victory of the season.
Both Samsonov and Jones have extreme peaks and valleys, but the good news is the Leafs should be able to provide plenty of goal support to win.
