The Florida Panthers are happy to be back at home following the team's latest successful road trip.

Florida swept its three-game roadie this week, earning victories against the Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils, to maintain their spot at the top of the NHL standings.

Now the Cats will take the ice at Amerant Bank Arena on Thursday looking to extend their winning streak to seven games when they host the Philadelphia Flyers.

As good as things have been going for the Panthers lately, the team received another nice boost on Wednesday when they acquired forward Vladimir Tarasenko from the Ottawa Senators for a pair of draft picks.

Tarasenko is expected to join the team Thursday morning.

The 32-year-old shoots left-handed but has played almost exclusively at right wing during his career.

If that continues with the Panthers, Tarasenko would likely line up, at least to start, on Florida's third line centered by Anton Lundell.

Sam Reinhart plays the right side of Florida's top line and Matthew Tkachuk has been the second line right winger, next to Sam Bennett, for most of his time with the team.

How Florida utilizes Tarasenko on the power play will be an interesting element to keep track of.

The Panthers boast one of the NHL's top power plays (ranked fifth entering play Thursday), generally utilizing four forwards on the top unit and three on the second.

Perhaps Tarasenko joins Barkov, Tkachuk and Reinhart as the fourth forward on PP1, or perhaps at first he gets worked in with the second group.

Whichever way Panthers Head Coach Paul Maurice elects to go, it sure seems like a good problem to have.

Tarasenko will wear No. 10 for Florida.

Here are the Panthers projected lines and pairings ahead of Thursday's tilt with Philly:

Carter Verhaeghe – Sasha Barkov – Sam Reinhart

Nick Cousins – Sam Bennett – Matthew Tkachuk

Eetu Luostarinen – Anton Lundell – Vladimir Tarasenko

Jonah Gadjovich – Kevin Stenlund – Evan Rodrigues

    Gus Forsling – Aaron Ekblad

    Niko Mikkola – Brandon Montour

    Oliver Ekman-Larsson – Dmitry Kulikov
