The Florida Panthers are one win away from winning the Stanley Cup for the second year in a row. A loss in Game 6, on the other hand, would allow the Edmonton Oilers to tie the series up at 3-3 and force Game 7. Thus, the Panthers will be looking to close out the series tonight.
If the Panthers hope to knock out the Oilers in Game 6, they will need these three players to step up for them.
Barkov will certainly be a Panther to watch in Game 6. There is no question that the Oilers' top stars are going to be going all out in this one, so the Panthers will need Barkov, their top defensive forward, to shut them down.
The Panthers will also, of course, be looking for Barkov to produce offense for them in this contest. He is one of the Panthers' top offensive contributors, and he has been starting to heat up as of late, recording three assists over his last two games.
Sam Bennett has been one heck of a run this post-season for the Panthers. The 28-year-old center has an impressive 15 goals and 22 points in 22 playoff games thus far, and he is only getting better as it continues. In five Stanley Cup Final games so far against the Oilers, he has recorded five goals and one assist.
If Bennett can continue to stay hot offensively and provide plenty of grit in the process, he would help the Panthers' chances of securing a win in Game 6 big time. It will be intriguing to see if he has more magic left in him from here.
There is no question the Panthers need good goaltending if they hope to win Game 6, so they will be looking for Bobrovsky to have himself another big night. The veteran goaltender had another strong performance in Game 5 and will look to stay hot.
If Bobrovsky continues to stay sharp, it would be major for the Panthers. It will be fascinating to see what kind of performance he puts together from here.
