The Florida Panthers 2023-24 regular season schedule is out.
It will be Thursday, Oct. 19 when Florida plays its home opener and raises an Eastern Conference Champions banner at FLA Live Arena.
They will host the Toronto Maple Leafs that night.
First, the Panthers will open the season with a three-game road trip, starting on Thursday, Oct. 12 in Minnesota.
Florida’s holiday schedule is once again a busy one.
They will host the Boston Bruins and Winnipeg Jets on the nights before and after Thanksgiving, and then the annual holiday visits by the New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens will take place on consecutive nights, Friday, Dec. 29 and Saturday, Dec. 30.
The Vegas Golden Knights will be in town that week as well. The Stanley Cup Final rematch will be Saturday, Dec. 23.
While the schedule doesn't come close to the ridiculousness of last season in terms of travel, there are a couple instances where they play multiple games on the road, come home for a game, then head back out.
But still, compared to last year, this schedule is a bit more reasonable.
The Panthers will play 23 road games during the first half of the season and 18 away from home during the second half.
Conversely, they'll play 18 home games during the first half of the season and 23 during the second half.
Funny how that works, isn't it?
Florida wraps up their regular season schedule with a four-game homestand against Ottawa, Columbus, Buffalo and Toronto running from Tuesday, April 9 to Tuesday, April 16.
