Florida overtakes Boston to win fourth division title in franchise history
The Florida Panthers are the 2023-24 Atlantic Division Champions.
A Panthers victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs combined with a Boston Bruins loss in Ottawa – in Game 82 for both – is all that it took.
Florida finishes the season with an impressive 51-24-6 record, good for 110 points.

That’s one point more than the Bruins, who finished 47-20-15 after suffering back-to-back defeats on Monday and Tuesday to close out their regular season.
This is the fourth time in franchise history the Panthers have won their division. They claimed the old Southeast Division in 2011-12 and have now won the Atlantic Division three times, also earning a banner in 2015-16 and 2021-22.
What does it mean?
Florida will host the Tampa Bay Lightning in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and hold home ice in the at least round two, should they advance.
The Bruins will face Toronto in round one, with the winners of each series meeting in the second round.
