Jason Demers is the fourth former Panthers player to join NHL Network's cast of on-air talent

Another member of the Florida Panthers alumni is joining the cast of personalities at NHL Network.
Former Panthers defenseman Jason Demers is the latest to join the amazing crew at the network, making his debut appearance on Monday.
"I feel like I'm a rookie again," Demers said through a smile to host Jamison Coyle and fellow analyst Mike Rupp.
"First shift, you don't want to be minus-1," Rupp joked back. "Just play it safe, get pucks in, get pucks out."
Demers joins Bill Lindsay, Mark Parrish and Kevin Weekes as ex-Panthers on NHL Network's regular cast of on-air talent.
The 35-year-old defenseman has 700 NHL games under his belt. He played for Florida during the 2016-17 season, logging nine goals and 28 points in 81 games with the Cats.
Demers initially signed a five-year deal with Florida but was traded after his first season to Arizona for forward Jamie McGinn.
He played for five NHL teams during his 13-year career, accumulating 214 points and 407 penalty minutes.
