Game One from TD Garden in Boston is Monday at 7:30 p.m.

The Florida Panthers and Boston Bruins are set to do battle in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

It’s the first time the two teams have met during the postseason since 1996.

That year, the Panthers franchise was making its maiden playoff voyage in just its third season in existence.

Florida dispatched Boston in five games, with the deciding victory providing perhaps the most famous and recognizable moment in the team’s almost 30 years when Bill Lindsay, after being tripped by Hall of Famer Ray Bourque, slid the puck between the legs of Bruins goalie Bill Ranford for what turned out to be the series clinching goal.

Now the teams will lock horns once again.

This time, Boston comes in as a historically good team. The Presidents’ Trophy winners set new NHL records for wins, with 65, and points, a ridiculous 135.

Quite the mountain for Florida to climb, eh?

On Friday night we found out when the ascension will take place.

The full series schedule is as follows:
