
The Panthers are hosting the annual rookie tournament at Hertz Arena in Estero, home of the ECHL's Florida Everblades

The Florida Panthers are gearing up to host the 2023 Southeast Rookie Showcase next weekend in Estero.
The three-game round robin will take place at Hertz Arena in Estero, home of the Panthers ECHL affiliate Florida Everblades.
Joining the Panthers in the annual showcase are the Tampa Bay Lightning, Carolina Hurricanes and Nashville Predators.
Florida will play Carolina on Friday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m., Nashville on Saturday at 6 p.m. and Tampa on Monday at 1 p.m.
The team is expected to hold its preseason rookie camp at the Ice Den in Coral Springs in the days leading up to the showcase.
On Friday, the Panthers released its 25-man roster for the showcase.
It features several of Florida’s recent draft picks, including Mackie Samoskevich, Marek Alscher, Gracyn Sawchyn, Evan Nause, Mike Benning and Justin Sourdif.
There will also be players like Ryan McAllister, Patrick Giles, Mack Guzda and Calle Sjalin who are under contract and played with AHL Charlotte at one point or another last season.
Like with July's Development Camp, running things from a coaching standpoint will be Florida's AHL staff, led by head coach Geordie Kinnear.
