The Florida Panthers are set to face off against the Edmonton Oilers on June 4 for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final. The Panthers will look to kick off the series on the right foot with a victory.
While speaking to reporters, including NHL.com's Jameson Olive, Panthers head coach Paul Maurice confirmed that Florida's lineup will be different for Game 1. Maurice shared that A.J. Greer is officially out for Game 1, while Jesper Boqvist will be back in the lineup for the Panthers.
Greer, 28, is currently dealing with a lower-body injury, and the Panthers will certainly miss the grit he brings in Game 1. In 12 post-season games this year for the Panthers, he has recorded two goals and one assist.
Boqvist, on the other hand, has two goals and five points in 11 playoff games this year for the Panthers. This included a monster performance in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference against the Carolina Hurricanes, as he scored a goal and recorded three points that night.
