The Florida Panthers will play Game 3 against the Toronto Maple Leafs on May 9. After losing each of their first two games of the series, the Panthers will now look to secure a much-needed victory to avoid going down 3-0.
After losing back-to-back games, the Panthers are making some changes to their lineup for Game 3 against the Maple Leafs.
The Panthers' fourth line will be completely different, as A.J. Greer, Tomas Nosek, and Jonah Gadjovich will all be entering the lineup. With this, the Panthers' Game 2 fourth line of Jesper Boqvist, Mackie Samoskevich, and Nico Sturm will all be scratched for Game 3.
Greer last played for the Panthers in Game 1 against the Maple Leafs. In three post-season games this year, the 6-foot-3 winger has zero points and a minus-4 rating.
This will be Nosek's first appearance with the Panthers this post-season. In 52 career playoff games, the 32-year-old has six goals, 14 points, and a plus-1 rating.
As for Gadjovich, this will be his first career playoff game in his five-year NHL career. In 42 games this season with the Cats, the 6-foot-3 forward had four goals, 60 penalty minutes, 127 hits, and a minus-7 rating.
The Panthers are also making a switch to the top six for this contest. Evan Rodrigues has been moved up to the first line with Aleksander Barkov and Sam Reinhart, while Carter Verhaeghe is now on the second line with Sam Bennett and Matthew Tkachuk.
