Several members of the Panthers were on the field to help pump up Dolphins fans moments before Sunday's game against Jacksonville
A quartet of Florida Panthers helped one of their cross-town sports neighbors kick off a new season with some championship excitement.
On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins opened their 2024 campaign at Hard Rock Stadium when they hosted the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Moments before the game began, PA announcer Kenny Walker asked fans to turn their attention to the northeast corner of the field.
It was there that Panthers players Aaron Ekblad, Carter Verhaeghe and Niko Mikkola, along with Cats General Manager Bill Zito, were there to pump up the fans
This was a cool full circle moment, as over the past several seasons, several members of the Dolphins have been spotted in Sunrise, either attending games as fans or banging the pregame drum.
The good vibes from the Cats seemed to work, as the Dolphins earned a thrilling 20-17 comeback victory over Jacksonville.

As for the Panthers, they're slowly starting to converge back on South Florida in anticipation of training camp.
Florida's first preseason games are coming up on Sunday, Sept. 22 when they host the Nashville Predators for a split squad doubleheader at Amerant Bank Arena.
