Florida Panthers prospect Mackie Samoskevich just scored the biggest goal of his life.
At least, so far.
Samoskevich scored 52 seconds into overtime of the Regional Finals, sending Michigan to the Frozen Four with a 2-1 win over Penn State.

It was Samoskevich’s 20th goal of his sophomore year. He finished the game with a goal and an assist, and is now up to 43 points (20-23-43) in 38 games this season.
Michigan will now face Quinnipiac in the Semifinals on April 6 in Tampa. The winner of that game will face the winner of Minnesota and Boston University.
The Panthers selected the now-20-year-old Samoskevich in the first-round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
Last season Samoskevich and the Wolverines also reached the Frozen Four, but they lost in the Semifinals to eventual National Champion Denver.
He finished his freshman year with 10 goals and 29 points in 40 games for Michigan.
