Florida comes into Friday's game with a 2-1-0 record in the preseason

They say revenge is a dish best served cold, so it’s a good thing hockey is played on ice.

The Florida Panthers will be looking for a little retribution on Friday night when they host the Carolina Hurricanes at Amerant Bank Arena.

It was only two nights ago when Carolina blitzed the Panthers with an explosive third period, scoring all four goals in a 4-1 comeback win.

Florida will be sending out a very similar roster for Friday’s rematch, full of players working to show they’re worth consideration for a higher position, whether that be at the NHL level or elsewhere.

That mean’s NHL roster locks like Sasha Barkov, Matthew Tkachuk, Sam Bennett, Gus Forsling, Carter Verhaeghe, Anton Lundell and so on, will again be held out.

The goaltenders for Friday’s game will be Anthony Stolarz and Mack Guzda, but the plan is for Stolarz to play the full sixty minutes.

We have yet to see the veteran tendy in a preseason game, so it will be nice to have the opportunity to evaluate him in a non-practice setting.

The game will be streamed on the Panthers website, with radio voice Doug Plagens providing the play-by-play and Bill Lindsay adding color commentary.
