Florida played Tampa Bay on Tuesday in Orlando and will face them again Thursday in Tampa

Training camp can be some of the most difficult and grueling weeks for any professional athlete.

That has absolutely been true of the Florida Panthers recent training camps under head coach Paul Maurice.

Intense skating and hard-working drills highlighted the first week of camp at the Coral Springs Ice Den, but the players have embraced it.

Following last season's incredible march to the Stanley Cup Final, Florida's players understand they must put in the work now if it's going to pay off for them when it matters most.

While there is always a time and a place to put in that work, there also must be opportunities for rest, relaxation and, dare I say, some fun.

One of those opportunities came this week when the team's preseason schedule provided a window for the Panthers to get away from the hockey rink and lean into some traditional Florida fun.

On Tuesday, the Panthers played a preseason game in downtown Orlando.

On Thursday, they'll play a preseason game in Tampa.

Conveniently located between downtown Orlando and Tampa are some very popular destinations that people from all over the world come to visit, so the Panthers brass decided to take advantage.

Wednesday morning the team loaded up and headed to Universal Studios, one of the most popular theme parks in the world, for a day of roller coaster excitement.

The Panthers social media team was kind enough to document the festivities and share some of the photos with the rest of us.

By the looks of it, a great time was had by all, whether that be Sergei Bobrovsky and Carter Verhaeghe on Revenge of the Mummy (zoom in and see for yourself) or Aaron Ekblad and Brandon Montour on Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.
