The Florida Panthers will be hosting a hockey clinic at FLA Live Arena this week, but not just any clinic.
This one will be specially designed for the visually impaired.
The Panthers clinic will be in partnership with the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind & Visually Impaired and Lighthouse of Broward.
It will take place on Friday, July 14 at 10 a.m.
Students from both Miami Lighthouse and Lighthouse of Broward will take part in the unique experience, using special tailor-made floorball equipment.
The students will also be taken on a locker room touch tour.
More from the Panthers:
Miami Lighthouse and Lighthouse of Broward have been the recipient of several grants from the Florida Panthers Foundation providing financially disadvantaged Florida students the opportunity to have better vision through Miami Lighthouse’s Florida Heiken Children Vision Program. Miami Lighthouse’s Pre-Employment Transition Program is a year-round program that provides individuals ages 14-22 the opportunity to develop skills to enter the work force or post-secondary education.
The Panthers have been hosting this special hockey clinic since 2018.
