Florida won four straight heading into the All-Star break while Philly has lost five in a row
It's been 10 days since the Florida Panthers last played a hockey game.
The Panthers received some much needed time off to rest, recover and relax during the NHL All-Star break.
Now they'll be looking to resume their recent winning ways when they host the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night at Amerant Bank Arena.
Florida finished the pre-All-Star schedule with an impressive 12-2-2 run and will be looking to resume their strong, physical play against one of the surprise teams of the Eastern Conference this season.
Philadelphia current sits in third place in the Metropolitan Division with a 25-19-6 record, but things took a downward turn just before the break.

The Flyers are now looking to break out of five game losing skid in which they've been outscored by a wide margin of 27-12. That's an average of 5.4 goals per game Philly is surrendering over the skid, which is not ideal.
One positive for the Flyers is they are expected to welcome back forward and former Panthers first-round pick Owen Tippett to the lineup.
Tippett has missed each of Philadelphia's past four games due to a lower-body injury.
On the season, the 24-year-old has racked up 18 goals and 30 points through 46 games so far this season.
The Panthers may also be getting an injured forward back on Tuesday.
Veteran winger Nick Cousins may be ready to return to Florida's lineup and help bolster the team's forward depth.
Cousins has been out since Jan. 2 when he took an illegal check from Arizona's Jason Zucker, who was subsequently suspended three games for the hit.
Florida had won five straight games when Cousins went on Injured Reserve, and they've gone 8-2-2 in the time since.
Here are the Panthers projected lines and pairings for Tuesday's tilt with the Flyers:
Evan Rodrigues – Sasha Barkov – Sam Reinhart
Carter Verhaeghe – Sam Bennett – Matthew Tkachuk
Eetu Luostarinen – Anton Lundell – Nick Cousins
Jonah Gadjovich – Kevin Stenlund – Ryan Lomberg
Gus Forsling – Aaron Ekblad
Niko Mikkola – Brandon Montour
Oliver Ekman-Larsson – Dmitry Kulikov
For no reason other than why not, here's some video of the one and only time Florida and Philadelphia met in the postseason.
