The Florida Panthers lost to the Carolina Hurricanes by a 3-0 final score in Game 4. With this, the Panthers will now look to knock out the Hurricanes in Game 5 on the road on May 28.
While the Panthers lost Game 4, goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky did his best to keep them in it. The 36-year-old stopped 25 out of 26 Hurricanes shots he faced in the matchup, equating to a .962 save percentage. The Hurricanes' last two goals of the night were empty-netters.
Following the game, Panthers head coach Paul Maurice made a funny joke about Bobrovsky being out of position for Carolina's two empty-netters.
"I didn't like the last two at all," Maurice said. "His gap was horse-s**t."
However, after making this joke, Maurice gave Bobrovsky a bit of a shout-out for his solid game.
"The first one was a hell of a shot. He made two or three other really big saves."
Overall, Bobrovsky did his job in Game 4, but the Panthers' offense just couldn't solve Hurricanes goalie Frederik Andersen during it. Following this Game 4 loss, Bobrovsky now has an 11-5 record, a 2.05 goals-against average, and a .914 save percentage in 16 playoff games this year.
