Ranking the top 5 Panthers players you would want to see on new Amazon Prime behind the scenes NHL series

Which Panthers players would you want to see on a behind the scenes reality show?

TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston reported this week that the NHL has signed on to do a behind the scenes series on Amazon prime featuring 10-12 NHL Players.

Other Sports have seen a lot of success through similar style series, with the most notable being Netflix’s F1 show “Drive to Survive”, which saw a surge in popularity in the sport.

Hockey players have a lot more personality than they tend to display publicly and a show like this could be a great tool to amplify these personalities.

Here are the Top 5 Panthers players I would like to see on the show:

    1) Matthew Tkachuk

    [gallery ids="1870"]

This was an easy first choice. Not only is he an outgoing personality but has the play to back it up. Tkachuk is undoubtedly one of the faces of the league. To go along with that, there is the intrigue of his family, which includes his father, Winnipeg Jets Legend Keith Tkachuk and his brother Brady, who is the Captain of the Ottawa Senators. I don’t think anyone would complain if either  of the Tkachuk's or both were chosen for this show. Easy 1.1 pick here.

    2) Sergei Bobrovsky

    [gallery ids="1871"]

On the ice Bobrovsky has had one of the most interesting/enigmatic careers that I can ever remember in the NHL. He is a 3-time All-Star and Two-Time Vezina Trophy winner and is currently the highest paid Goalie in the NHL. At the same time, he has dealt with bouts of inconsistency throughout his career. Just last year he went from losing his starting job late in the season, to leading the Panthers to the Stanley Cup Final. He is the ultimate swing guy for a teams success and would be interesting to get a look behind the curtain. Besides all that, goalies are notorious for having quirky personalities, so sign me up.

    3) Sam Reinhart

    [gallery ids="883"]

In a perfect world, this would have been the year to feature Reinhart on a show like this. While a solid pro in Buffalo, Reinhart has taken his game to another level since joining the Panthers Organization. It is not a matter of if, but when he will reach 50 goals this season. maybe even by the end of this week. His contract is also up this summer, and with his career year he is looking at a big number coming his way . Would be interesting to hear the behind-the-scenes perspective on how he has taken his game to an all-star level.

    4) Aleksander Barkov

    [gallery ids="585"]

If you hear anyone in hockey talk about the game of Aleksander Barkov, he is often referred to as on one of the most complete/underrated players in the game. However, The Panthers Captain just quietly goes about his business. You do not know much about him off the ice and this would be a platform for Panthers fans and NHL fans, to get to know what the real Alex Barkov is really like.

    5) Ryan Lomberg

    [gallery ids="1697"]

With a nickname like “Lomberghini” people automatically want to know more about you! Lomberg is not a star in the league, but sometimes those can be the most interesting players in an NHL locker room. His journey as an undrafted free agent to becoming a regular contributor on a Stanley Cup contender is the type of underdog story that these types of shows have done a great job of telling over the years.
