The Florida Panthers have been very busy with the start of free agency just about here. They re-signed top pending unrestricted free agents (UFAs) Sam Bennett, Brad Marchand, and Aaron Ekblad when many doubted they could. However, they have another pending UFA whom they are looking to re-sign next.

According to NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, the Panthers are still hoping to re-sign forward Tomas Nosek now that July 1 is here.

The Panthers looking to bring back Nosek is not too surprising. The 32-year-old forward proved to be a nice depth addition to their roster this campaign due to his solid defensive play and success at the faceoff dot. Thus, if the Panthers could get him back on another cheap deal, it would be good for them.

Nosek appeared in 59 games this regular-season for the Panthers, where he recorded one goal, nine points, 83 hits, and a plus-4 rating. He also posted three assists and a plus-4 rating in 16 playoff games for the Panthers during their Stanley Cup championship run.
