It’s been a pretty good few weeks for Sam Bennett.
The 29-year-old won his second straight Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers, leading all players in goals and winning the Conn Smythe Trophy as the postseason’s most valuable player.
He then followed up an incredible week of celebrating by signing an eight-year deal worth $64 million to stay with the Panthers, foregoing free agency and a likely more lucrative payday in order to continue building on what Florida has accomplished over the past few seasons.
Now that the offseason has arrived, Bennett and his teammates can spend a couple months away from the rink, being with friends, family and loved ones while doing all things that there is simply no time for during the hockey season.
That’s why when it comes to summertime, that’s very much wedding season for hockey players.
Over the weekend, Bennett became the first Panthers player to tie the knot since they claimed the Cup, and there was definitely a Panthers feel at event.
A video made its way onto social media showing Bennett and his new wife Zoe walking out into their reception to the tune of the Panthers official goal song, Panthers Pulse by Ownboss and Selva.

It makes you wonder if this could become a trend at Cats weddings.
Matthew Tkachuk will be getting married later this summer. Perhaps we’ll hear it there, too.
For those curious, there is no word on whether Pink Pony Club played at the Bennett wedding.
It wouldn’t be terribly surprising though.
Congrats to the Bennetts, Sam and Zoe!
