Reinhart is tied for third in the NHL with 24 goals so far this season
There was little surprise to the Florida Panthers player selected to represent the team at the 2024 NHL All-Star Game.
Sam Reinhart is having a pretty ridiculous season.
The 28-year-old former second overall pick has been lighting the lamp like never before, and he’s doing it in a contract year.
Through 37 games this season with the Panthers, Reinhart has scored 24 goals. That ties him for third-most in the NHL with Vancouver’s Brock Boeser.
Reinhart also leads the league in power play goals with 11.

Reinhart’s 45 points are good for tenth in the league, tied with Boeser’s teammate Elias Pettersson, New Jersey’s Jack Hughes and Toronto’s Auston Matthews.
Taking all this into account, Reinhart’s first All-Star selection has seemed inevitable for a while now.
Thursday night, the NHL made it official, announcing Reinhart as Florida’s man at the All-Star Game.
One player per team was named on Thursday. The remaining 12 All-Stars will be selected by a fan vote.
This year, NHL All-Star Weekend and all the surrounding festivities are being held in Toronto.
The game itself is on Saturday, Feb. 3 at Scotiabank Arena.
