Barkov was injured by Ducks defenseman Jackson LaCombe during the third period of Friday's game

Florida Panthers captain Sasha Barkov left Friday’s game in Anaheim with an apparent lower-body injury.
Barkov was moving through the neutral zone when he was caught with a knee-on-knee hit by Ducks defenseman Jackson LaCombe.

He was initially given a five-minute major for the play, but officials lessoned the penalty to a two-minute minor after reviewing the video.
After the hit, Barkov went down to the ice before slowly skating to the Panthers bench and immediately heading to the locker room, favoring his left leg.
Barkov has played in all 17 games for Florida this season, accumulating 6 goals and 17 points.
Following the game, Panthers Head Coach Paul Maurice didn't have much of an update on Barkov, which isn't terribly surprising.
With knee injuries, generally the medical staff will want to see exactly what they're dealing with on the inside before making any kind of diagnosis.
"We've got to get him back (to South Florida) and get him looked at, and then we'll see from there," Maurice said.
Florida's next game is Monday night in Sunrise when they host the Edmonton Oilers at Amerant Bank Arena.
The team may hold a practice on Sunday, at which time Maurice may have more information on Barkov.
