Florida lost a second straight Stanley Cup Final game in which they could have clinched the series
Tuesday night could have been a historic night inside Amerant Bank Arena.
The Florida Panthers were hosting the Edmonton Oilers, leading the best-of-7 Stanley Cup Final three-games-to-one.
All they had to do was win just one more game, and not only would the Panthers be champions, they’d get to celebrate the victory on their own ice in front of all those long-suffering Panthers fans.
Alas, on that night, it was not meant to be.
Florida fell behind 3-0, attempted a comeback, came up short and dropped their second straight game when a win would’ve meant hoisting the Stanley Cup.
Afterwards, The Hockey Show hosts Roy Bellamy and David Dwork discussed what they saw and lamented a return trip to Edmonton.
