The Hockey Show: Vancouver drama, Tony-D's latest second chance, Greg Wyshynski

Matthew Tkachuk sure is good at getting under the skin of opposing goaltenders

Panthers hold full team practice at SAP Center in San Jose on Jan. 24.

The Hockey Show returned this week amid another flurry of fun news around the NHL.

With the Trade Deadline just over a month away, moves are starting to take place as teams ramp up for the push for the playoffs.

Joining the show this week was ESPN Senior NHL writer Greg Wyshynski.

Among the topics discussed were the ongoing saga in Vancouver with J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson, the Islanders current hot streak, and speaking of the Isles, Roy has some thoughts on their decision to sign veteran defenseman Tony DeAngelo.

This week’s Florida Panthers recap touched on the new-look second line, which includes ascending rookie Mackie Samoskevich skating with Sam Bennett and Matthew Tkachuk, the team’s up-and-down week as they returned from another long road trip, and Tkachuk's apparent propensity for pissing off opposing goaltenders.

Roy and Dave also gave their weekly wins, losses and fails, and Rose was given an extremely spicy punishment for trying to take over last week’s show.
