The summer of Sam is upon us.
It’s safe to say that few people in the world are having a better couple months than Sam Bennett.
You could argue that his incredible run started at the beginning of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, when Bennett began a run that saw him score more goals than any other player this postseason.
Let’s go down the list.
Stanley Cup win? Check.
Conn Smythe recipient? Check.
Epic week of celebration capped off by a massive beachside parade? Check.
Marring the love of his life? Check.
Signing a life-changing new contract worth $64 million? Check.
And we haven’t even gotten through July yet.
Truly, it’s Bennett’s world and we’re all just living in it.
This week, Bennett took a little time away from his spectacular summer to catch up with Chris and Dan Powers, the hosts of the Empty Netters podcast.
Empty Netters is known for its great content and awesome interviews, and this episode exceeded expectations.
Bennett spoke about a number of things, including Florida’s run to the Cup and his role in it, his new contract, Stanley Cup celebrations and, of course, his part in the USA-Canada melee at 4 Nations.
