Florida clinched a playoff spot on Thursday despite surrendering another third period lead and suffering their sixth loss over their past seven games. While the Panthers still have some things to work out ahead of the playoffs, which begin in a few short weeks, there is still some appreciation for how far the franchise has come. He was also asked about the red-hot Charlotte Checkers, Florida's AHL affiliate, and the play of prospect goaltender Spencer Knight.
