According to a recent report from Bleacher Report, they have re-ranked all 32 NHL home jerseys. This re-ranking comes after the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks re-branded their jerseys.
In the initial ranking, the Kings found themselves in last place. They were ranked the worst jerseys out of all 32 teams.
After the jersey rebrand and the updated report, the Kings have climbed up to #17 on the list.
The jerseys pay homage to their 90s-style Gretzky-era jerseys, which most people loved. However, they have a modern-day look to them.
The details, including the stripes on the jersey's bottom and the arms, give them a sharp appearance.
For many Kings fans, these jerseys are nostalgic. It brings them back to the era when the Great One played for them. It brings them back to when they were kids and, for some, their first experience watching the Kings play.
For NHL fans, it reminds them of a simpler time in the hockey world. The 90s era of hockey was one of the best products we've seen. It saw some of the best NHL players ever do it.
Especially for the Kings' organization. Both Luc Robitaille and GM Bob Blake played for the Kings in the 90s when these jerseys were used, and now they get to be a part of the organization after they elected to bring them back.
Indeed, fashion does often circle back. We've seen it in our everyday lives with the clothing that the younger generations are wearing. Now, we get to see it again with these beautiful Kings jerseys.
