The Los Angeles Kings are bringing back Corey Perry on a one-year deal just months after trading him to the Tampa Bay Lightning at the trade deadline.

The Los Angeles Kings are the busiest team in the National Hockey League as they continue to add depth to their forward group. The Kings have signed Corey Perry to a one-year deal worth $1M.

Perry, 41, returns to L.A. just months after he was dealt to the Tampa Bay Lightning at the NHL's trade deadline. 'The Worm' will once again provide crucial leadership, especially with the absence of Anze Kopitar.

Along with leadership, Perry will be an underrated piece in the Kings bottom six as he is a shoe-in for 10+ goals and 20+ points. He is also capable of jumping into the top six for a few games if the lineup needs a jolt or an injury occurs.

In his 50 games as King in 2025-26, the former league MVP scored 11 goals to go with his 17 assists for 28 total points. That is a pace of about 18 goals and 47 points in the 84-game season.
