If the Kings want to move on from Dubois they will need to find another way besides buying him out as per GM Rob Blake

Today, the Los Angeles Kings' GM, Rob Blake, met with the media and discussed his overview of how the season went for his club.

He talked about the future of the team and certain players and their roles going forward. One player he mentioned specifically was Pierre-Luc Dubois.

He has been the talk of LA since their season ended due to his poor play throughout the regular season and playoffs.

The talk sparked a debate about what the team should do regarding his future. An option discussed at length was the possibility of buying him out.

Well, Blake has since put that to bed. He talked about how there is no plan to buy out Dubois. This leads some to think he could be traded this summer before his no-movement clause kicks in on July 1.

There is also the possibility of Dubois being converted back to a winger, which was his position before being drafted into the NHL. This could be an easy fix to help him find his game and provide the Kings with all he can.

Only time will tell what the future holds for Dubois. But what Kings fans do know is that the next handful of weeks will be very interesting and could see a ton of changes to the roster.
