Friedman reveals the Kings are interested in bringing back a former King

On the latest episode of 32 Thoughts the Podcast, Elliotte Friedman confirmed a report that I wrote a few weeks ago regarding the Los Angeles Kings and former King Tyler Toffoli.

Previously, I wrote that the Kings would be interested in reuniting with Toffoli since they are back in a position to be a contender, and this is where his career started.

Friedman confirmed that the Kings are around him and could be where he ends up on July 1.

"I think Tyler Toffoli is very much on their radar. I think they are going to be a very real contender for him."

This weekend is always a fun one because there is so much speculation and news coming from all 32 NHL clubs. It would make it even better for Kings fans if Toffoli returned home to LA and suited up for the Kings again.

Toffoli, 32, spent his first eight seasons in the NHL with the Kings before playing for a handful of teams. However, now it seems it has come full circle, and he will likely sign back with the team where it all started.

Last season, he had 33 goals and 22 assists for 55 points in 79 games. He will likely ask somewhere in the neighbourhood of $4 million AAV for two seasons.
