The Los Angeles Kings fans are waking up very disappointed. Last night, the Edmonton Oilers eliminated the Kings from the 2024 NHL playoffs for the third straight year.
The vibe around the team's fan base is disappointment but also confusion as to the next steps. The team's GM, Rob Blake, and the front office have been subject to a lot of talk because the fans of the Kings want them to tear it down and rebuild their front office.
It is still yet to be known if there will be any changes, but with it being less than 24 hours after being eliminated, there could still be a chance the organization makes some changes.
Unfortunately, the coaching staff and management group didn't do a good enough job with this team and addressing needs. Their biggest need was goaltending, and nothing crossed the finish line at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline.
There is also the fact that the team's stars weren't good enough. They needed to be better to beat the Oilers.

This is something that needs to be addressed this summer. One name specific is Pierre-Luc Dubois; he was simply not good this season or in this series, and that will need to be addressed.
All in all, there just wasn't the same effort from the Kings as there was from the Oilers, and that was the difference in this series.
