Kings fans won’t want to miss this free training camp event, featuring player practice, entertainment, giveaways and plenty of opportunities to get ready for the new season.
The LA Kings are giving their fans a reason to get excited before the puck even drops on the new season.
As training camp gets underway, Kings fans will have the opportunity to get up close to the team during a free fan rally on Friday, Sept. 18, at Toyota Sports Performance Center in El Segundo.
The event will kick off the second day of training camp and is designed to bring the Kings faithful together for a morning of hockey, entertainment and plenty of team spirit. While the players will be preparing for the season on the ice, fans will have their own slate of activities to enjoy outside the rink.
The festival will feature a free raffle, appearances from Bailey and the Ice Crew, a DJ, games and a Team LA Store pop-up, with additional activities expected to be announced.
And, of course, there’s actual hockey.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early so they don’t miss practice. Furthermore, parking in LA is generally ridiculous, as is the traffic, so plan accordingly.
Events like this are part of what makes the start of training camp feel different. The anticipation, the familiar faces and the first glimpse of the team back on the ice are all reminders that another season is finally approaching.
There’s a lot of reasons to smile. The fans are back and the wallet will feel thicker as well, as the festival is free. The event will place at Toyota Sports Performance Center, located at 555 N. Nash St. in El Segundo.
Exact event and practice times have yet to be confirmed, so fans should check back for additional details.
One parking note: If the Toyota Sports Performance Center parking lot reaches capacity, fans are asked to park on Mariposa.
For Kings fans, the wait for the new season is almost over — and this year’s first taste of hockey is coming with a bang.
