According to Rick Dhaliwal, he believes that Winnipeg Jets pending UFA Brenden Dillon is on the Los Angeles Kings' radar. He also mentioned a few other teams that may be interested in his services.

If the Kings do, in fact, "take a strong run at Dillon," then he would essentially replace Matt Roy on the second pairing. Dillon does play a different style that fits with what the Kings are trying to accomplish this off-season.

On the latest episode of 32 Thoughts The Podcast, he mentioned, "The other deal Tampa made, just quickly want to mention, Tanner Jeannot to LA. Right from the moment it became pretty clear that Jeannot was going to be dealt, which was not long after the Lightning were eliminated, I heard LA was very much on the radar. The Kings thought that they were a little bit too pushed around last year.”

This would make a lot of sense as to why the Kings are interested in signing Dillon. In 77 games last season with the Jets, he had 241 hits, which would help the Kings feel they aren't getting pushed around.

Dillon also isn't afraid to drop the gloves and stand up for his teammates, which will be useful when it comes to the playoffs.

In terms of contact, Dillon may be willing to take $3 million over two-to-three seasons to sign with the Kings and help them get over the hump of their first-round demons.
