The Los Angeles Kings have re-signed RFA forward Arthur Kaliyev to a one-year deal, reportedly worth $874,125.

The deal comes in right around what his qualifying offer (QO) was set at.

It was reported when the Kings were eliminated from the 2024 NHL playoffs that Kaliyev had requested a trade from the organization.

Much like Nicholas Robertson on the Toronto Maple Leafs, there as no market for either of them, and now they have both sided back with the team that owned their rights.

Late last week, I wrote an article talking about how if the Kings could re-sign Kaliyev, he could be the top breakout candidate for the team.

Now that, he has been re-signed and is reporting to the captain's skate with his Kings teammates.

Although he would still prefer a trade out of Los Angeles, it looks like Kaliyev is ready to move on from the off-season saga and rejoin the Kings for another year.
