After requesting a trade from two different teams in a four-year span, people are questioning if Pierre-Luc Dubois will be a distraction in the Kings locker room. Now that he has a new contract in a city that he chose himself, the narrative is changing about the former third-overall pick. Free of distraction, Dubois is expected to have a big first year in Los Angeles.
Another player that will have a lot of eyes on him this season is Quinton Byfield. In his third year, Byfield is expected to break out for a big season. Being on a line with Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe, the 21-year-old should be able to succeed.
